Our affordable, finished outdoor rooms give ample space for many uses. Yet they are small enough and designed to be temporary movable structures, and they can usually be considered a “shed” by local building regulations and not require permits. (Please check with your local planning department to be certain for your location.)  These rooms usually need to be placed on a deck with good drainage or concrete or gravel pad and don’t require a formal foundation. 

And yes, we can help with permits and assembly!

How It Works

Total time from order to delivery: 12-16 weeks. We start building your custom room when you order. We disassemble it, flat pack and ship it to your door.

Design + Planning

1. You submit a design deposit and then we work together to figure out the size and style you want and design a spec that includes all the details for your unit. We have a partnership with a design firm that you also can work with if you need to submit plans for permitting. We also work together to agree. on a phased payment plan. We do not finance directly but you can pay with Klarna or use the payment plan schedule to fit what works best for you.

2. Once your design is finalized, we start building it in our factory.

3. When we finish we will send you photos for approval.

4. We then break down the walls, flat pack and ship directly to you.

Drainage + Site Prep

IMPORTANT: The unit must be placed on a dry, well-drained surface to prevent wood rot.

Place your unit on one of the following:

• 2” gravel pad

• Wooden deck

• Concrete pad with drainage

Note: Never place the unit directly on grass, dirt, or any moist ground. If you experience heavy rains, consider putting 2x4 planks or concrete footings beneath the room to ensure the floor wood isn’t sitting in water for extended periods.

Assembly

Don’t worry, assembly is easy for a handyman team or hand-homeowners. We use special hardware to ensure the walls snap together and everything is easy to understand. We also can connect you with our fabulous assembly partner that covers locations across the US.

Custom assembly instructions will be sent to your email for your specific outdoor room. Many clients hire local handymen to assemble in a day. Before we deliver, we share a folder with custom assembly instructions for your exact unit.
